Bangalore to Hyderabad Drive by Car

Recently I started driving from Bangalore to Hyderabad and back by Car. Recent problems in Andhra force me to drive first time by car to Hyderabad. It was on 24th Dec 2009 for the first time. Shilpa, Mom, 2 month old Baby and myself started to Gadwal. (400 KM from Bangalore on NH7). It took around 9 hours to reach Gadwal with 2 stops of one hour each for Baby. From Gadwal I went to Hyderabad. On return I traveled alone back. After that I went on the same route 3 times. Very good drive. Here I will explain the route from Bangalore to Hyderabad.
NH7 is pretty good road. Most of the work is complete. Except few places between Ananthpur to Kurnool, almost all the work is done.

Started from Hebbal in the morning 5. Karnataka Boarder is around 95KM from Hebbal. NH7 here is complete and no distrubance. I drove my TATA indica DLG at around 140KMpH. In one hour I reached Andhra Boarder. There is toll gate now (Rs. 50 one way for Car). This place is Bagepally. On the way, Chikballapur by pass road is complete. So you can drive quickly. Only problem I saw was speed breakers at 4 places. very harsh, I jumped with the car like a James bond Movie. Otherwise pretty good road.
Bagepally to Ananthpur (200KM from Hebbal), Road is mostly good except at Penugonda. The by pass road is not ready and You wil pass via the sleeping monster (Kumbakarna) statue. It took total of 3 hours for me to cover 200KM to Ananthpur. No speed breakers. very pleasant drive except at Penugonda.
Ananthpur to Kurnool. Most of the road is not complete. On NH7 also, only one side of hte road is used. Around 150 KM, but it takes 3 hours. Road is not good, some road is NH7, some part is not completed. So be careful.
Kurnool to Hyderabad. Excellent road. NH7 is abslutely ready and you can drive at very crazy speed. Easy to go at 140KMpH. Its around 200KM. very very pleasant drive. No speed breakers. Total of 3 Tollgates as the work here is complete.
Over all stats:
Bangalore to Hyderabad: NH7
Distance: 550 KM
Total Time: 10 Hours. (Single driver and 30Min stop for Breakfast)
Road Condition: Excellent for 400KM. Just ok for 150KM.
Restarants: 60KM from Hebbal (BPCL Ghar Dhaba on your left.)
250KM from Hebbal. 50KM after Ananthpur. (BPCL Ghar Dhaba on your right.)
380 KM from Hebbal. 25KM from Kurnool. (BPCL Ghar Dhaba on your left.)
After Erravelli Junction, there are many eating places.
Vehicle: TATA Indica Diesel DLG.
Mileage: 18.3 per Litre Diesel.
Tollgates: Total 4

Hebbal -> Chicballapur -> Bagepally -> Penugonda -> Ananthpur -> Gutty -> Dhone -> Kurnool -> Jedcharla -> Hyderabad.

Places of interest: Just after Bagepally in AP, take a left diversion to Lepakshi. A exceptionally beautyful temple around 20KM diversion from NH7.
Just after Ananthpur on the NH7 on your right, beautyful ISKON temple.
